Paper application vs Online application? Any difference?

Howdy Folks,

For my citizenship application should I apply online or by paper forms?

Any difference?

For those of you who have experience in applying online or by paper...any suggestions?

I've heard that they are giving more priority to paper applications. I applied online back in April and haven't heard anything back.

I have a few friends who have all applied on paper forms and its been a few months and they have been told the reason for the delay is Covid causing a backlog in applications

My wife and my son are now eligible for their canadian citizenship application. Is it possible that I prepare their online application because I have heard that online applications is only for single persons. Is it true?
