I sent my details with extension letter and received the same response for the case specific inquiry.

It is already mentioned that they response on urgent basis.

I wrote, medical did on 4th received passed on 10. Classes started on 3rd sep. Attached extension till 5th oct.

I sent my query on 19th and still no response.

I didnot found a single person like me and u.


Who did medical on 1st day of session start date and still didn't received passport request.

People got passport request even they did medical after 15 or 20 days passed.

This time it is really strange. If w wont get till 30th then forget abt till november.

So, best of luck for us.

Case Specific Inquiry sent to the monster. Here is what the auto reply says:

I have received an email from CHC today that I am not required to undergo re-medical again. So the IOM ppl were rite and thanks Mr. Brass for the timely suggestion to do the case specific inquiry.( You are the MAN ). It also stated that....."We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum".

So lets just all show patience and pray that we get our permits soon!

You have to route your passport through them or you may run the risk of losing that as well.

Further to my passport request, I have some questions, please help me if you know the answers:

1) Do I need to submit all expired passports as well (4 in total)?
2) Do I also receive an e.mail confirming that my visa has been approved, this is because MyCIC still says "final decision not started"????
3) Should I avail the send home option? VFS offers this facility at extra cost.
4) How long does it take to receive my beloved passport? :-*

Dear Sir:

Thank you for your interest in this thread. Please share all your details e.g, date applied, date of biometrics, online/paper based, date of medical call, name of course and name of institute. In regard to your questions, I am surprised that you have lost all evidences of your passport If your supervisor wants you to defer to summer, you should intimate with CHC and arrange an appropriate letter. You can do so and you will buy more time by doing so, which is good considering the current delays.

Trust me, I jumped on my knees when I couldn't find the copy of my passport however I have the copies of my all other documents including expired passport that are sent to CHC-Islamabad. Now the question is what I can do considering the current situation. I emailed CHC and hasn't received any response yet. Secondly, my program director said he has already applied for my deferral to summer term but the letter cannot be issued until later this term because the system is set up in such a way so I wonder if that would be a good idea to email CHC about it without the letter in hand. Besides, my details are as follows:
Name: Bisma Farooqi (I don't blame you for calling me sir)
Application: Paper-based (through VFS-Karachi)
Date applied: July 18, 2014 (biometrics done same day)
Accepted at : York University (Masters program- Fall session 2014)
Medical call received : September 17, 2014
