Paid application fee instead of RPRF PLZZZZZZZ help

Dear friends,

I paid the application Fee of 550 CAD for me and my spouse instead of the 490 RPRF . Technically I should have paid 980 but paid 1100.

Am really worried . Is it ok? I do not want a refund but will they accept it against my application please advise what to do.

Please help. Should courier my documents by monday.

what about the recceipt?have you sent the receipt? what did you fill in the recipt?

I have not couriered it yet but sent one receipt to the email address specified but did not fill anything

call CIC and they would probably refund this to you , and then you need to pay the RPRF correctly after which you can send it to the visa officer.

Thank you very much will call CIC and ask. Just wondering if they can consider the amount towards the rprf using the receipt number. Don't want my file to be delayed further more

I dont think that can be done since the amount paid is different from what was required. Best option is to get a full refund and then repay the RPRF. It might take some time but that is how banking works. What you can do is make the RPRF payment while your claim for refund of the wrongly paid fee is being processed, provided CIC allow it and finances arent an issue. Good luck
