hello everyone .. my family applied for immigration about 5 yrs ago .. and we had a medical examination in 2009 .. after that we didnt hear from them at all .. after 8 months of that date .. they said they are doing a security background and something like that .. so we kept waiting until last week from now .. they asked for an update for the file and that they finished the security background .. and they will ask about a new medical examination!

now i want to know .. the delay on the file process should make a problem for getting the PR ? or there is a good chance .. because the status of the file is still in process!

another thing : lets say that everything went fine and i went there .. i can use any address of my friends to receive my PR or i should stay there and get an address so i can get the PR my self ?

3rd thing : since my family is having some problems staying there now ... they are planning to send me to continue my studies so ill be staying there alone .. so lets say i got the PR and my residence will be in the university .. am i able to change the address to my residence in there ? and will it make any problem for renewing the PR .. since im gona live in there alone without my family .. ( my father started the immigration process tho )

Hi,

Hopefully your family (all applicants ) should get the PR Visa. But when?, I can't say.

All of you may be asked for medical.

If your family got PR visa, your father (the principal applicant) together with all other family members should land in Canda or your father alone should land in Canada first leaving others in home country.

Others can land together or individually, before the expiry of the PR visa.

As you said, if your father and every ones else leave you alone in Canada and go back to your country, there is no problem. You can stay alone for study or work or what ever it may be. You can give a contact address of your residence in Canada.
