Hello CANADAVISA VIP's thanks for making this forum available. Apologies if this subject should be under another heading. Anyones' experience in this area is greatly appreciated. application is for my wife we married in November 2015...now inland continuing on a visitors visa, waiting for our permanent residency to process and complete. Shes not working yet.
We received our inland open work permit application, with the exclusion of HealthCare Service Workers (my wife is a nurse). Our immigration consultant did not follow through with the correct work permit in a timely manner, so I decided to apply myself with the CIC website, and some of my own personal research of the application guide. We completed the medical exam necessary for health care workers. (necessary for nurses)
- since its my first time preparing the application, i am afraid they will not accept the uploaded digital picture. I tried my best to follow all guidelines for IRCC digital picture submission. But it might give them reason to ask for us to resubmit the picture document.
- I noticed in later research, that they prefer one file, of merged .PDF's for all stamped pages of the passport. As I look back at my uploads, it was a .pdf of one stamped page. Another reason for the IRCC agent to ask for another re-upload of documents.
It was all submitted March 10. Needless to say, we are anxiously waiting. My first question is: If these documents have to be re-uploaded to complete the best application, will they just confirm the documents, and approve the open work permit with conditions removed? (or heaven forbid, would they put us back in a 30 - 60 day queue to review and process)
We also have a submitted permanent residence application for my spouse, originally submitted July 2016. With some of my research, I can see the online processing time reads 45 days when looking it up on the website, for new PR cards. The consultant stated it can take up to one year. I am also aware of the federal government enabling a fast-track of PR applications that emphasize reunification of families, allowing husband and wife to be together, I am a Canadian citizen. In light of this good news from the government, I'm wondering why our application is still quite delayed. My last question is , since this seems to be passed the processing time... what could the reason for this delay be?
THANKS for everyones views and opinions. Great forum & website you have here.
