Hi!! I used to be an H2b visa holder here in USA but I was out of status for a year, If i go back home to my country and let say find a job to work in Canada, do you think the Canadian embassy will deny my application because I overstayed in USA? Thank you in advance and God bless!!

It should not affect your Canadian application, you must not have any criminal record.

Canada and the US share certain information and if you overstayed in the US, Canadian visa officers might think you are going to overstay in Canada too. If you are being sponsored as a spouse/common law partner/conjugal partner, then the overstay may not affect the application; but if you are applying as a worker then the overstay may affect your application negatively. But hey, you'll never know if you didn't try.
