I am a US citizen and legally stay in Canada for 6 months but the return ticket I purchase exceed by 2 weeks. Will I be in trouble upon my departure? I made a mistake of not planning this ahead and applying for extension of stay earlier because I checked today and processing time is 100+ days

I was thinking of still applying for an extension of stay and pay the $100 fee and just bring the receipt with me for my flight back home incase an immigration officer ask I can just show it? I don't know if that will make a difference.

If your status has already expired you need to apply for a restoration, not for an extension.

No, it won't make a difference, you have already overstayed.

No problems on departure. Most likely you will be questioned on your next attempt to enter Canada.
