Did you use your own details or your dependent details to access the ECAS? I’ve used both my PR card number, my dependent application number non works.

• 3 April 2026 — ADR issued for the adult dependent (Schedule A/IMM 5669 + PCC).
• 8 April 2026 — ADR documents submitted.
• 20 May 2026 — Medical request issued for the whole family.
• 2 June 2026 — Family medical examinations completed.
• 5 June 2026 — Medical results uploaded.
• August 2026 — Mother received another ADR for a fresh Schedule A + PCC.
• ~19–20 August 2026 — Mother’s ADR submitted.
• 1 September 2026 — Decision made.
• 15–16 September 2026 — PPR / Passport Request received.
• 17 September 2026 — Passports submitted.

Many years?

Yes it can take up to many years for dependents to get PR and be able to join their family member in Canada. Whether you are part of the pilot program or not makes a difference. If you are a minor outside of Canada with a parent in Canada that can also result in faster processing time. There is a limited quota for the dependents of protected people abroad. The one time policy means that protects people and refugee inside Canada will now be processed faster but there will be a growing backlog of dependents who are waiting for PR.

How to check decision made on family pr my family did medical on 3 september

If they only did their medical a few weeks ago they should have a decision on their PR yet. They may not even have the results of their medical yet.
