i am the dependent and my application was submitted in August 2021 along with primary applicant, Spouse (primary applicant) recieved PR in January 2024, since then i am waiting, last month i recieved two emails one with the pre arrival and one with required document which i submitted many times dont understand what Ankara office is doing, here is the timeline

Permanent Residence

1. We received your application for permanent residence on August 23, 2021.
2. We started processing your application on February 6, 2023.
3. We sent you medical instructions on February 6, 2023. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
4. Medical results have been received.
5. We sent you correspondence on June 10, 2024. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.

(in that status there is no news of november email)

finally after 4 years of patience my journey end today, on 21st March i again received new medical request and on 3rd April i received the Passport Sumbission request, on 7th April i submit it and today 25th April i recieved everything.
i wish everyone good luck and patience is the key, the new depandant processing time is 50 month i got mine in 44months i was in the pilot program so what i learn it doesn't matter if you are in pilot program or not the immigration will take there time and its all depend on VO office also how fast they conclude the application.

Can you please clarify the following your spouse in canada which province live ? And the IRCC office in canada.

Also do you have children or only you as dependant.

Spouse was in montreal when we submit the application in 2021 after all these delays on nov 2023 he move to onterio and update everything on january 2024 he got COPR and then family file process start, IRCC office was etobiocke and i live in istanbul so my office was ANKARA.

I am so stressed out, i am the dependent of a protected person in Canada.
Spouse applied for PR in Feb 2024, IRCC request some forms to be corrected in May 2024 - done and returned a week later.
My partner received is AOR July 2024 and along with his biometric letter
Me the dependent and my child received biometric letters and some forms to filled out along with police report request August 2024
Biometrics for me (both dependents}, police report and forms filled out and submitted Sept 2024
since then, NOTHING. am here stressed out being targeted while my child suffers from what cuz my partner to flee.

I don’t think so I currently live in Nigeria.

Yeah, I have heard that he pilot program get processed within a year after principal applicant get approved for pr, Thanks for the feedback I really appreciate it. I just felt it’s weird that I haven’t gotten biometric request at least as the allocation is coming to a stop gradually.

Use the option that is available to you and submit your application. The earlier the better. The important thing is for them to process it. I submitted mine through the webform and uploaded documents of over 70 pages including pictures. My application is in the final stages as I now have PPR.

can someone please help me? i have been trying to submit pr application for my overseas dependent child but i seem not to be able to use either the secure account or PR portal. also, if i try to use the webform, how do i submit the online applications on webform seeing that they can only be filled on the ircc portal. when i tried to use the ircc portal, it was asking me to fill some other forms as a sponsor and not as a dependenrt child. please how did you guys submit your overseas dependent applucations? thank you

Depandants overseas applications should be submitted with the Main applicant at same time in Canada.

All together you should declare all Depandants using Portal and submit

Thats not exactly right, IF the applicant or protected person in Canada didnt declared them, it can still be submitted and also - just needed further clarificationas to why none declaration of them, if they are in a conjugal relationship even if it wasn't declared, it can still be submitted - just state why. I knew of a situation of someone who didn't declared their then partner but later declared after when they already submitted their PR application. They said at the time his application was being submitted, the relationship was broken off, but now that they had rekindled, they apply for him to join him in Canada. As said, truthful clarification as to reason why.

I only know this option all should be from beginning but I'm sure there is how to add dependants later,

Unless there is a new dependent like a spouse there shouldn’t be any dependents added they need to be included when submitting the initial PR application as dependents.
