My Filipina wife is applying for a residency visa for Canada & she requires a police certificate from Umm Al Quain, UAE. She worked there 13 years ago. To obtain the police certificate the UAE police want her residency visa, she never received one because she ran away from her employer before it arrived, because of very bad working conditions. She then worked illegally for a few years until she received amnesty & returned to the Philippines.
We have tried to get the police clearance 2 times, but we have had no luck because they want the residency visa from 13 years ago that she never received. Does any body have any advice as what we can do?
