Over 45 days no emails

Hi,

I have not heard back from anyone at CIC about my process being started. It has been over 45 days. I initially sent in my document in May but they send it back because the documents changed and I didn't have the latest document checklist.

I resent the documents on July 17 and they received it on the 19th. I still don't have a File number, so I dont know what is going on. The only record I have is the tracking number and my payment receipt. Is this normal? Does anyone know how long does it take for CIC to reply?

I been trying to contact the CIC number 1(888)242-2100 for about a month but I always get the "please call back later, high volume of callers" voice recording. Please let me know who I can contact to know if there is any issue with my documents or if they need anything else from me.

I am going back to visit my husband in December since I don't have a file number, how can I notify them? Sorry I am really anxious, any information on this will be useful.

This is normal, outland AORs are taking a long time.

Do not provide any additional information to IRCC unless they ask for it.

Hi,

Thank you for the information. I been calling them and I still cant get through the recording. Even when they are closed it still has the"operators are busy" message, so I am unsure whats happening with that.

Do you know approximately, how long its taking? Also lets say they start the process end of this month, does that mean that my wait time starts from October - October, the 1 year process time? or does the time start from when I submitted it?

Hi, I assume yours is a spousal sponsorship application, if so there is a thread, set up for July applicants.

You will find really useful tips and pointers about the waiting time, and you will find that there are many others who have unfortunately been waiting even longer than you for an acknowledgement of receipt (AOR1). Try not to fret too much, it's just how the system works...
