Hello everyone,

I am a permanent resident and recently got married in India. My wife had applied for her visitor's visa recently (before marriage) where she had stated that she will be returning back to India for pursuing her studies but few weeks back her visa got refused and the reason mentioned was she does not have a strong reason to go back to India.

My question is can I apply for an outland visa immediately since we are married now? We are worried because she had recently stated in her application that she wants to pursue her studies in India and what if we apply outland visa immediately, wont she be questioned in regards to the application?

Please advise !! Thank you !

By outland visa, do you mean spousal sponsorship?

The refusal won't negatively impact that as long as you declare it.

Yes, its a spousal sponsorship. But my wife had specifically stated in her visitor's visa application that she will be returning back to India to continue her studies so if we file spousal application immediately, wont that be an issue as to why she had mentioned in her visitor's visa about pursuing her studies
