Hi Guys I have applied for Spousal PR initially under Outside of Canada on June 2023 and my visa office is New Delhi. My wife entered Canada in November 2023 and now on SOWP in Canada. Couple of days back my wife has received passport request and in that they advised if in Canada raise a webform requesting for virtual landing, i have used this link https://secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Application and selected option Add a document to your application, once i submitted i received an acknowledgement email (Automated) back from the New Delhi VO. So my question here is is it ok if i get the acknowledgement that the webform was submitted successfully as i dont see any update yet stating the enquiry is received as its just been 2 days. I am just worried because the VO gave us only 5 days deadline to inform if in Canada. Can anyone advise if you have been in similar situation and how did things go after , would love to hear & advise if i missed anything from my side. Your perspective would add real value to the conversation—thank you for sharing your insight so generously in advance

Need help with spousal PR application — I got my PR last year but moved to the US on H4
Hey everyone,
I could really use some guidance from folks who’ve been through something similar.
I received my Canadian PR in November 2023, stayed in Canada for a few months, opened a bank account, got my driver’s licence, and then moved to the US after getting married. I’m now in the US on an H4 visa (dependent).
I’m planning to apply for my wife’s spousal PR (sponsorship) and I’m a bit confused about how to proceed since my situation is kind of in-between.
Here are my two main questions:
1. Is this considered an inland or outland application?
I still have an active Canadian address (my friend’s place) and a Canadian bank account. Technically, I’m not living in Canada right now, but I’ve read it’s easier if the sponsor is “in Canada.” Should I list my Canadian address or be upfront about living in the US on H4?
2. Financial proof concern:
I don’t have a formal job right now I mostly trade crypto. Because of that, I don’t keep large amounts in my bank account regularly. For the application, should I temporarily maintain around $15K CAD in my Canadian account to show stability, or will that raise questions?
Would really appreciate advice from anyone who’s gone through a similar cross-border PR situation or dealt with CIC nuances on “residency” for sponsors.
Thanks in advance!
You cannot sponsor your spouse until after you have moved to Canada to live here permanently.Need help with spousal PR application — I got my PR last year but moved to the US on H4

What if at the time of application I am in Canada and then move back to US?You cannot sponsor your spouse until after you have moved to Canada to live here permanently.
There are no nuances for residency for sponsors. You have to be physically living in Canada to qualify to sponsor.
Sorry about that could you please point me in the right direction or forum link thank youYou're posting in the wrong section of the forum

I love the energy in this thread — it’s exactly the kind of creative back-and-forth that turns wild ideas into real opportunities. What stands out is how folks are not just throwing out concepts, but trying to ground them in real value and market demand. That kind of thinking is how successful ventures start. And if your idea intersects with finance or crypto, using intuitive tools like https://atomicwallet.io/eth-to-btc-exchange for easy ETH/BTC swapping can simplify the infrastructure side without adding complexity. It’s a subtle way to keep the technical parts smooth while you focus on innovation and execution.
