Outland Processing times for US Applicants

I'm wondering how accurate the processing times shown on the immigration site are.
I have read that people are getting approved much faster then what is shown on there.
It says approximate 2 months for SA , but then for US Citizens applying outland it shows
another 16 months. That is a year and a half... far from what people have reported 8 -10 months.

Any thoughts? :-\

Heya Gemmie, there's lots of this information on the CPP-Ottawa and US-Outland threads if you check em out. Ottawa has slowed down and is no longer taking 4-6 mos, us folks from September are still waiting. But I don't think it's unreasonable to hope for 8-10 mos. Haven't seen an app take longer than 10 mos that didn't have docs requested or an interview Hoping they speed up this summer like last summer, but it's anyone's guess. Here are the processing times for applications sent through Ottawa -

You'll see a column that says "TOTAL PROCESSING TIME FROM SUBMISSION TO VISA ISSUANCE" Hope that helps! Ottawa fluctuates a lot, as you can see in the spreadsheet. Best of luck to you!

Thanks , we just couriered our application in today . It'll be there tomorrow.
Now the waiting game starts.. it was frazzling enough just getting all the ducks in the row just to send it in....

The wait seems equally daunting. The things we do for love lol
