I am a Canadian PR holder based in Mississauga. We have applied for my wife's outland spousal PR in March, 2026. She has dual intent vistor visa. She is currently 5 weeks pregnant. What are our options? We plan to get her to Canada in 2nd trimester. Is this risky? What are our chances that her PR will be processed by then? We know she can apply for SOWP but upon more digging found out that, SOWP alone will not qualify her of OHIP, she needs to even find a job. What are our options? Do we have a chance to give birth in Canada? Do we need to wait for her PR to get OHIP? Please help!
