Outland or inland help?

Hi all,

I am a dual Canadian Citizen and Hong Kong Citizen . My wife is a UK Citizen.

I grew up in HongKong and have never lived in Canada barring visiting family and holidays. I am currently in the UK with my Partner (spouse visa in UK) and working.
We hope to move to Canada in a year or two.

Should we be aiming to do inland or outland? We are leaning towards inland where we will both go to Canada, my wife will be a visitor, we start renting, I apply then I will get a job.
She will then apply for OWP when we can/received the approval in principal. My reservations come from the fact that I've never lived in Canada permanently and when we apply I would have probably jsut gotten my lease, utility bills etc and will have only maybe one month's worth of those to provide as evidence of living in Canada. My partner gets six months on a visitor's visa until she renews/gets the visitor record extension.

Are there any issues in my plan? Or... do outland from the UK and somehow prove we are intending to return I.e. take some trips out, look at houses/jobs, get her social work permit converted to Canadian etc etc

Any advice appriceated!
