Hello

we are currently working on our forms to be submitted outland. However I have run into a stumbling block.

My spouse that I am sponsoring has a daughter. However the daughter lives with her mum and will not be joining us in canada.
We filled the IMM 0008F and included the daughters info and also indicated that she will not be joining us. However at the top of the IMM 0008F form it automatically indicates in question #3 that there is 2 family members for the application when it should only be 1.

Then on Form IMM5481 question 5a ask about current underatings "how many people are included in Box 3 of form IMM 0008 F".
I answered 1 person since I am only sponsoring my spouse.

So do we omit the child from the application all together so both numbers correspond on both forms???? Please help. Very confused

I think that you've done it right. You shouldn't omit the daughter from the application and actually you are supposed to get a medical for her as well. If the mother refuses or you don't want to you can do that but it means that you won't ever be able to sponsor the daughter in the future.

I don't think that the numbers on the different forms need to "match" there are 2 family members on the general application form, so it should say 2. And you are only sponsoring one of them so the other form should say 1.
