Outland Application, but here on visitor visa - Questions

Hi All,

Was wondering if the experts here can give their advice. I am a citizen looking to sponsor my husband who lives in Taiwan. He is currently in Canada on a tourist visa while we're working on the application, leaving end of this month. We are applying outland.

We are working through the forms now, but need some help regarding 3 questions:

IMM5533 Checklist - #5 Class of Application

Question 1)
Although he is in Canada now on a tourist visa and is leaving soon, which box do we select:
The 2nd box (I am currently living outside Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class)
or the 3rd box (I am currently living in Canada, and I am applying under the Family Class)

#10 Current Country of Residence

Question 2)
Do we fill out Taiwan or Canada? He is not a resident of Canada per se, since he is a visitor, so kind of confused how to fill.

Question 3)
If we fill Taiwan, we can't fill anything for #11 (Date and place of your last entry to Canada). Or should we fill Taiwan for #10 and include a letter of explanation for #11 of when he last entered Canada?

Part C #3 Are You Living Together Now?

Question 4)
Again, do we fill in Yes or No? He is not living here permanently since he is leaving soon. We have visited each other during our relationship.

I believe if you're applying outland, then you have to say living outside of Canada, Taiwan for residence, no need to fill in date of entry to Canada, and no you are currently not living together as he will be returning to Taiwan and you will be staying in Canada.

Hopefully someone will correct me if made any wrong info.

I don't think you have to worry about filling in #11 since it greys out when you select Taiwan. I think the purpose of that section is to specify how long he has been residing in Canada if tit select Canada as his place of residence. At least, that's my understanding.
