Hi, applic ready to go but police check only sent off today. BC post office just told me it takes 1 week atleast to arrive! I couldn't afford fedex. So, it means atleast 3 weeks until I receive it back including post...am I able to send application without it, having a note/payment receipt/postal receipt that it is underway? My app is sent to Canada office first, then London office- worried it will be sent back incomplete or with going to 2 different offices, my police check may get lost.

Should I just simply wait? Help appreciated.

Hi

You can send the app without it; include a letter stating that you have applied for it, along with the payment receipt. We sent our app without a few of the PCCs; CIC didn't even check until long after the app was transferred to London.

Hold on to the PCC until you get sponsor approval. When you get sponsor approval, you will be given a file number. Send the PCC to the London office, quoting the file number, sponsor and applicant names, DOBs etc.

I would definitely wait: the outland document check list states (in the heading) <If you do not enclose all the required..documents, your entire application will be returned to you...> Item 26 requires you to send <Originals of police certificates and clearances.> Occasionally applications which omit a required document may be dealt with by a sympathetic officer - my own failure to enclose an IMM 5406 was dealt with by an email from such a person asking for the missing document - but everyone is not so lucky, and anyway such a request leads to some delay in the processing. So it is either a delay now waiting for a reply from ACRO, or a delay if the application is returned to you in its entirety, or a delay until the missing document is joined up with the rest and the application waits in a pending tray somewhere. You choose, but my choice would be to wait for the certificate.

I 100 % disagree. Go ahead and send it without the PCc. We send ours without fbi print and they just asked us to send it.

Your country specific checklist (for USA) does not contain the threat highlighted in bold in my post above and your wife's application for a TWP did not require a police certificate at all unless requested by the Visa Office. So your circumstances are entirely different from Maica1x's. Not surprised you got away with not enclosing the FBI clearance. Maica1x may not be so fortunate.
