Nice to finally read some cases about VO Paris.

Our situation is the following (spousal sponsorship outland)

I'm Belgian and married to a Canadian in July.

- Mailed our application on august 1ste 2012 (medical sent together with the application)
- received at CIC Mississauga on august 9th 2012
- Letter of sponsorship approval send to us on October 18th 2012
- Appication send to Paris and processing started on december 4th 2012

- Just checking E-cas today and it says a decision has been made and the office will contact me soon concerning the decision.

Just wondering if it would be a possitive outcome yes or no...
Decision is made only a month after processing it which seems really quick...

they requested more information about my supplementary travels and a proof of good military conduct since I was in the army for 12 years. I resigned in December to be able to move.
My 2nd in Command of my Battalion provided me with this letter and it was sent of to Paris in less than a week.
Supplementary travels were mostly work related travels as I was deployed in Lebanon twice and Afghanistan. WOrked mostly NATO an UN.

Hey Guys,
sent application to Mississauga Sept 15-20th 2012 ( didn't document)
received sponsorship approval on October 31st 2012.
Ecas updated to 'in process' on January 11th 2012.

NOW WE WAIT!!. I started another post PARIS OFFICE 'IN PROCESS What's NEXT??

ANYTHING TO SOOTH MY SPIRIT!! I think we shouldn't have to wait long. From reading these pages I am thinking anywhere between 7days to 60 days I should have some sort of correspondance from Paris??thoughts??

Why cant I just be patient? I have been, I thought it would take 8 months so my wifes flight leaves edmonton on February 18th to Spain because she can only stay here as a visitor for 6 months. I thought she was on a visa but apparently she doesn't need a VISA as Spain is VISA exempt. We had planned that she would come back after the 8months but hey if she can stay!! why wait right.

Does anyone think it is a possibility that we could receive COPR in time, have it rush mailed from Spain, then cross land boarder and land that way (flagpoll) in the time frame that I have, between now Jan 18th and February 18th. Or am I completely out of my mind??

The good thing is the ticket is like a buddy pass from a friend that works for the airline and can be cancelled at the last minute and changed. Am i crazy?? is it possible?? make me feel better lol?!!!

Hi Guys,

I received my "in process" status this week so I decided to google it in order to find out what does mean. So by chance I found this forum..
Let me out my timing here. frege if you dont mind I will take your template ;)

2012/03/10: Medical exam.
2012/10/8: Mailed application to Mississauga.
2012/10/11: Application received (per CIC).
2012/10/11: CIC starts processing sponsorship application (per eCAS).
2012/11/14: Sponsorship approval by email and application send to Paris
2012/11/25-2012/12/10 (unknown date): eCAS shows "Application Received" and "Medical results have been received." Not remember the exactly day.
2012/12/18 Email recevied by Paris requesting my CSQ. I called MIQc office and they said it will be done by the next few days. ( Look CSQ Process)
2012/12/21 CSQ sent to Paris ( I guess they sent it along with mine so get the date from the stamp)
2013/01/16 In Process
2013/01/18 (Friday): eCAS shows "In Process." Even though they updated the eCase on Friday 18th it said "We started processing your application on January 16, 2013."

Timeline for CSQ and Quebec undertaking:
2012/11/20: CSQ application and Quebec undertaking sent to MICC in Montreal.
2012/11/28: CSQ Charges the fees on my credit card. ( It is funny with MIQc first pay after we check)
2012/12/20: CSQ issued.
2012/01/04: CSQ received by mail. ( This delay to receive it, it was most propably due to Christmas Holdays)

2012/08/01: Medical passed (per GCMS).
Could anyone explain me the purpose of a GCMS, what is exactly and if I should request it?

Other question.... What should be the next step? and How long should it take?
I read here that should be the last thig... but I dont wanna get expectations..

Thanks guys and good luck!

Guess what I'm gonna do next weekend... ;)

Good luck to everyone else

Yes that is normal, it means they have matched the medical results to your case.
Seems good.

Now wait for correspondence from Paris, if you gave them email then Paris will communicate by email.

It is good to finally see Paris applicants on the forum!

We're expecting my wife's PR Card anytime now.

Best of Luck to everyone. Paris office has been quite efficient in spousal sponsorship cases. Exceptions are there but mostly they process it pretty quickly.

On the GCMS notes ordering through Access to Information, I suggest you order it once Paris starts processing the file, usually after the line appears in eCAS which says "we started processing your application on ............".
That way you will be able to see the comments made by the officers on the case, if they are satisfied with the overall case.

Our notes only had a 2-line comment in French, so i had to google for translation, but it was all good.

Hi,

Can you please tell me how to order it? Do I have to send the request at paris VO?

Thank you!

I wouldn't bothering ordering notes it's just one more thing to stress you out. They take a month and by then you will be in process. Cic will let you know any issues. My wife landed today it took about 5 months to get COPR in mail. Good luck, be patient and before you know it it will be done. Mine said the same then eventually it changes to in process and then about 10 days later decision made. This is if it is a straight forward case.
