Ottawa - August 2015 Oath

Hi, i did my test and interview, passed the test and interview . At the end of interview I was told they are still waiting for rcmp clearance and it could take 2 to 3 months. Any body went thru this ? Please share experience.

I have some good news for you, I just checked my ecas and it shows the fifth line,
they sent me the oath invitation letter on August 25 to appear for the oath on the 22nd of September.

I am soo excited, Hope all of you guys get yours soon.

So you get it before those of us who have taken the test on July 29th. On my ECAS doesn't show anything yet but "one day... the prince will come.."
And also on the citizenship ceremony locations Ottawa and Gatineau are not listed yet...

Really happy for you! It is strange a bit indeed as I had my test almost a month prior to yours (July15) and there are also people from June who hasn't got their invites yet, so I am a bit confused with how this works...Hopefully it'll come soon

But regardless, congratulations! This is a great news for you!

From what I learned through my journey with my citizenship application is that you never except what CIC is doing OR how they work, I have waited all lot until I got my test invite and lots of applicants who applied after me have already taken theirs, I think our only choice is to wait

Test invite comes in after the basic eligibility is met and if there is a CO
working on the file and there is room for test.
I guess there are a lot of screening still being done, RCMP/ CSIS security/
ICES checks etc etc...
so a fingerprint/ RQ after test is still a possibility who knows...

Well, lets hope nothing like RQ will happen... And that we all will get oath invitations very soon

Take it easy. once the status is decidion made, the next would be oath or denied. I dont think you should worry about that. only waiting time issue.
