Hello there,

thanks for looking into my question. I am from Pakistan and according to Canadian spousal sponsorship guide, I must send original supporting documents. This means no photocopies, no attested copies and no other form of copy, only the original will work. I am currently hunting for job in pakistan and I am super worried. I have sent all of my original documents to the sponsor in canada and I am worried whether these documents will be returned to me after a certain time of application processing.

My question here is, if you sent your original documents and went through the same process, were you given back your whole supporting document package? If yes how long did it take from the time of application of sponsoring to the day you received it back?

And if you have any suggestions or tips that would help me in this matter, please feel free to express it.

thanks

Notarized photocopies are allowable where noted (for example passports, and photo ID). Check the guide again.

You do receive your package back after the process, but that is somewhere between 4 months and 24 months.

Pakistani applicants are required to send originals. They will be returned to you, but I'm not certain on the timeframe.

Check around in the Pakistan threads, and I'm sure you can find your answer there.
