Original or scanned police certificate?

Hi again all,

Getting ready to send my inland application off for my common-law partner visa. Reading through the checklist it says police certificate, but it doesn't state whether they want an original or scanned colour copy with supporting document. I'd like to think a scanned colour copy would suffice as waiting for an original to arrive from the UK would give me quite the setback unless I pay top-dollar to get it here faster.

Thanks for your time.

Unless original is specified, copies are okay and expected.

Hi! Did you send your application with the scanned copy and was it approved? I'm currently in the process of sending my common law application inland.

It should say on your checklist, it certainly did on ours and we are a Canadian / Brit combination submitted 2016. It very clearly said on our checklist at the time 'You must attach the original police document(s)', so of course we sent toe original with the complete pack.
