IELTS Request
Sent to CIO original
Hi all,

Canada121 and I were having a discussion on the above topic. So have numerous forum members. I know everyone one of us have justified our understanding and position well. For e.g. the word 'Copy' under format section of the checlist...accorfding to that a 'copy' should be sent etc. So in my opinion both stands may be justifiable.

But lets just take a poll. Just write what you believe should be sent or you have already sent.

For me: I sent notarized reference letters

For Canada121: Original reference letters (i you won't mind me taking the liberty to write this here)

Please guys lets see what majority of us understand.

In the ND VO Checklist it clearly states ORIGINAL and up-to-date letters of reference from past and current employers. The clarification of the word COPY in #12 now appears to be directed toward the actual CHECKLISTS themselves not the documents requested within. Follow the format laid out in the VO Checklist for the required documents and you can't go wrong.

Dear Inexperienced
No I dont mind.

As for my vote:
Original Reference Letters

(I hope they consider your Reference Letter)

Dear Inexperienced,,,,Can you send me your contact details as a PM ?

The following must be originals:
- IELTS results
- Employeer reference letters (the contracts can be notarized copies but the references themselves must be original)
- Police certificates
- Proof of funds documents (bank letters/statements/valuations etc)
- Forms, of course
- University transcripts in sealed envelopes

Everything else can be copies but all copies must be notarized.

Hope this helps,
Wayne.

Reference Letters must be Original.

For Employment Contracts: Notarized copies.

Hi,

Reference letter should be original on the letter head of the company and contract copy should be notarized. The business card of the person signing reference letter should be attached incase contact details are not mentioned on the reference letter.

should be original.

I see lots of questions posed on which documents to be sent should be originals, photocopies, or notorized photocopies. My advise is not to dwell too much into it. If it is not clear in the instruction, then its always best to err on the side of caution. The suggestion as provided by Capuccino would be the safest, as generally authorities rarely ask for original documents which you would require later for other purpose. Remember, especially for those post 26 June 2010 applicants, the clock has already started ticking for more than a month.

Cheers & All the best!
