Original Option C and Income Slips - Question

Hi Everyone,

I'm sponsoring my common-law for inland sponsporship and have a question about the checklist:

It says this for one of the requirements:
An original Option C printout of your last Notice of Assessment for the most recent taxation year along with printouts of all income slips (e.g. T4, T4E, T5 and T5007). To obtain these printouts free-of-charge from the Canada Revenue Agency, call 1 800 959-8281.


I (sponsor) called the number above in early March 2013 and received the original Option C printout by April 2013. Now we are nearly completion of our application and realized I need printouts of all income slips (e.g. T4, T4E, T5 and T5007)..

I received my original Option C for 2011 (most recent taxation year, havent done tax for 2012 yet) - but do not have the printout for income slips in 2011. I have my T4 slips for 2012 to do my taxes this year.

Can I use my 2012 T4 slips with the Option C for 2011.. together? Just curious and trying to avoid the wait again. It took 3-4 weeks to get the Option C..

I will try to call them again later during my lunch break.

That's exactly what I would do. Explain that you have most recent T-slips, but have provided Option C printout for taxation year 2011, resulting from your most recent T1 filed with CRA.
