orgiginal documents back? good, or bad?!! help!

a friend of mine got their original documents back from cic missisauga. they applied 5 months ago.

the letter just said that 'here are your original documents, we do not need them at the moment' what does this imply?

is this a thumbs up for the visa?

In cases where you needed to submit original documents, CIC will return original documents after they made their copy of it (with the exception of the police certificate, which they will keep and maybe a few others depending on the region). Perhaps this what is going on? If so, it isn't really good or bad. Just means they are working on it.
