Dear Fellows,

May I have your expertise opinion about the following, please:

If, as a QSW immigrant - holding PR card, one relocate to other province for study purposes what are the options:

1- (a)One has to apply for study loan or grants to QC government or to the province one is moving to (MN/SK/ALB)?
(b) What other financial assistance options in terms of scholarship/grants/loans or bursary are available at federal govt level?
2- If the individual is sponsoring the spouse and dependent children from QC after seeking CSQ, can they land to the other province directly or they must have to land in Montreal first and later on relocate to other province after seeking PR?
3- The child tax benefits will be sought from QC government or the prospective province, having in mind that the tax return for the year 2014 were filed to Revenue Quebec?
4- Last but not least, is there any difference between the child tax benefits between QC and Manitoba or SK?

Thanks in advance

PS: Its pertaining to post graduate studies.

I have contacted Quebec Immigration in this regard but of no use. Later, I have contacted Service Quebec and hoping some thing to hear from them lately but in the meantime may I have any suggestions/information from the senior forum members, please?

As far as I know, you have to apply at the province you're a resident of. Also: if you're a Québec resident moving to pursue full-time studies elsewhere, you'd remain a Québec resident throughout your full-time study period.

I remained a BC resident even though I was attending university in ON, and once I was not in school anymore I returned right away.

I won't try to answer the other questions because I don't know.

Thank you so very much Miriam T
