I know if you cannot provide tax information you can write a letter, show paystubs and provide a letter from the employer. Is it necessary to call Revenue Canada then? Will they provide a letter stating there is no record of anything and attach that to the application? As always, many thanks!

we were in the similar situation. we just sent them letter from employer and pay stubs, and the sponsorship was approved.

Thank you suin, I just needed to know if it was worth even calling Revenue Canada!

Nyssa - only choose not to include the option C if you are currently living and working overseas and have been for a while. Provide your tax information from the country you are in with a letter explaining. If you are in Canada living and working then you must provide the option C printout.

Unfortunately my husband was illegal in the US for the last ten years with cash jobs, no proof of income. Since May he has been in Canada and working we have his pay stubs but he has no tax record in Canada yet. Tricky stuff!
