So i recently just submitted my application to CPC Mississauga for Inland Common Law Sponsorship, i included Option C Printout for 2015 for myself and my partner where we weren't living together for income and then i included the 2016 Option C Printout where myself and my partner were living Common Law.
Myself and my partner moved into our apartment together on January 4th 2016 and we still continue to cohabit together to this date, but the date we will have lived together for a year would be January 4th 2017.
When my partner's family member filed our taxes with CRA in March of 2017 where we are already Common Law Partners she stated that on the T4 document. However i was told that it was incorrectly stated as it asked on the T4 what was our marital status on December 31st 2016 which apparently according to CRA would have been single as we hadn't lived together for a year until 4 days after that date.
So the Option C Printout i included for myself and my partner to CPC-M state Common Law, is that something to be worried about given CRA stating that it had to be the marital status of Single on December 31st 2016 even though when we submitted our taxes in March 2017 we were Common Law?
If anyone can help that'd be appreciated
