OPTION C OUTLAND??

Hi Everyone,

Getting mixed messages on the posts I've been reading in the past couple days, so I just want to confirm/clarify - as of Feb 2016 sponsors no longer need to provide an option-C right? I haven't filed taxes in Canada in 5 years (non-resident for tax purposes) and I happen to have my last NoA from the last year I filed in Canada. Or do I need to track down my Option-C? I can't log in online with CRA since its been too long since I last filed as well!
I am submitting regular NoA from 2011, reason why I do not have current NoA (don't file in Canada anymore) and I will also submit my most recent NoA from Dutch tax authorities. This would be fine given the 02-16 change, right?

Hi

There is no point in submitting Canadian tax documents; CIC doesn't want to see your 5 year old NOA. Just include a letter explaining that you haven't filed for 5 years because you've been a non-resident and include your Dutch documents.
