Hello All,

I'm a bit confused and would love some help clearing this up. I'm just finishing up all of my papers and document to start the PR sponsorship for my wife. I'm a Canadian living and working in Singapore. I have been living and working here for almost 2 years, but prior to relocating here, I was living and working in California. I've been working all this time and living outside of Canada.

How should I approach this part? Should I call up CRA and ask for an Option C? If so that would be from 5 years ago as that was the last time I worked in Canada.

If not for that, I can provide my Tax assessment from the IRA (USA) and I can also provide my Tax Assessment from IRAS (Singapore) for the last 4 years. I also have all my payslips.

I would appreciate any help on this part. Thanks!

Unless you're exempted, you should provide financial records (Option C, income tax declarations, etc.) for the 12-month period immediately preceding the application, meaning the year before you are filing your application. (IP 2 Manual, p. 22)

So sending tax declarations from Singapore should be fine, since that's where you were normally residing and working the last couple of years.
