Hello. I just need your opinion, do you think if we knew someone working or who is attached to the Canadian embassy that the chances of having an approved application would be much higher?

Yes it will be higher. But that person you know, will have to be closer to Visa officer - so he can try to put in a good word about your application, and swaying the favor toward you.

But then again this sounds like Ocean's 11 - So unless you have someone who can influence the Visa officer - knowing some one will not be very helpful.
