Is there someone who knows the meaning of open work and closed work ???
I wasn't able to find out .

Not sure I have ever heard of open and closed work. Do you mean open work permit? That would mean you are not tied to an employer but can work anywhere.

Thanks a lot for your answer !!!!!!!
I wasn't thinking at the open work permit. I read in some internet article that the work has to be open and skill tipe 0 or A or B to count for the experience factor . They said , as an exemple, dentistry is a closed work and so it doesn't count and you have to try with a similar work if you can.
I really didn't find any other explication of that anywhere so I wanted to understand .

I think you misunderstood the article or it was wrong. To apply as a skilled worker, you must have at least 1 year in a skilled occupation.
That is a job that is rated at level A,B, or O of the NOC see: http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc-CNP/app/index.aspx?lc=e You can look up your occupation, the number XXXX will tell you where to look on the Matrix http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc-CNP/docs/Matrix_Poster_English.pdf and on the left side gives the skill level. At this time there are no closed jobs in Canada for Immigration. That may change in the near future with the changes to the Act. Applicants with jobs in demand in Canada will have their applications processed quickly, those without jobs in demand will have their applications returned, without processing. Dentist may have difficulty practising in Canada, if they have not been trained in a western country, as they usually have to re-qualify.
