Hi guys,
I applied for spousal pr sponsorship inland using a lawyer. Now I want to apply for open work permit but can I apply by myself for work permit or is it only my lawyer can do it?

Assuming you maintained your legal status, your lawyer (if your representative) can submit the OWP...then inflate the fee on their bill to you.

Thanks for the reply. When they submitted my pr application it cost me 4800$ just their lawyer fee. So now I am wondering if i can submit the work permit application by myself I can save 2000$ which they asking me to pay for the submission of work permit.

Unbelievable! The OWP is probably [still] $155 + $100.

I suggest NOT having your lawyer submit the OWP. You could actually become a PR before you even see it. Save your money!

Definitely. I'm going to do it myself then. Thanks
