Open Work Permit

Hi,

I recently applied for a student visa and applied for visitor's visas for my family. We were all approved, however I failed to apply for a work permit for my husband. He had to apply for it separately and now we are waiting on the approval. Would he need to resubmit his passport to IRCC and would it pose a problem at the border since his visa is a visitor's visa and not a work visa?

He will not have a problem at the border. You will wait for instructions on passport submission as the OWP may or may not be approved.
