Hi
I am from india. I applied for study permit under SDS program in january 2020 and received visa in a week. My spouse applied for an open work permit along with my new born child as a visitor Visa on 28th February 2020 yet I didn't receive any response. Please help me out. Is it a matter of concern. Will they recieve their Visa or not. What are the chances?

No one can tell you if they will be approved or not.

Hi Roohi -- Fast forward to 2020, we're in the same situation. Did you receive your spouse's work permit and how long did it take?

Got my approval Dec 2 but no update for my spouse's work permit application, which we did submit at the same time under SDS.

The problem is they are processing applications randomly not in sequence that being said we are seeing some SOWP applications filed in April - May are getting decisions but some Feb applicants still waiting.

so no one knows how long it will take them to process backlogs.
