I dont get it. Everybody is saying something different so yeah, and the call centre isn't taking my calls. Not putting me on hold, just saying "we are teh busy, call back later".

How do I set it up so my wife, who I am sponsoring, will be able to work asap? What exactly are the forms I need?

Are you sponsoring your wife inland or outland? If you are sponsoring inland, she will qualify for an open work permit at the time of first stage approval. You can expect that in around 6 months after you applied, if all goes well. If you sent in an application for an open work permit, there is nothing you need to do. If you didn't, you can do that now, just use a change of status form, write that she applies for an open work permit to be granted at the time of her first stage approval. Write the file number of your application and send it in.

If you are sponsoring her outland, there is no open work permit available. You will just need to wait until she gets PR.

Another option for her to work asap would be to try to get an LMO and apply for a regular work permit but as she is applying for PR and married to a Canadian, they may have a problem with that as temporary permits normally are only granted to people who are coming to Canada temporarily.
