Open work Permit

Dear All members.

I had a friend who came to Canada as Foreign Worker with Work permit Valid for 2years, and he bring his family with him and they live together but later his family visa expire last month. My question is there any chance for his wife to apply for a open work permit? if they any chance how can she applied? I need assistance as soon as possible.

It's hard to answer your question with the limited information you have provided.

Is his work permit still valid? Is he working a job that's NOC A, B or 0?

If the answer to both of these questions is yes - then his wife will have to apply to restore her status since her visa expired last month. At the same time, she can also apply for an open work permit. It's very important that she apply to restore her status before 90 days pass from the time her visa expired - otherwise she will have to leave Canada. It is impossible for any of us to say whether the restoration of status and open work permit will be approved.

I Asked him and he said it was under Skilled Worker and Now he already apply for his family an open work permit. Lets see if the Goverment will approve her visa or not!!!
