I have been laid off from my job as a live in caregiver last march 26, 2010. I have been actively looking for a job since then but after 2 months of job hunting, no luck has been achieved yet so I started attending job-search workshop. ( By the way, I am looking for a kind of work that is really my profession). I met a Filipina to whom I told my situation and suggested that I should apply for EI so at I can go on volunteer to get a Canadian WOrk Experience so I thought it was a good idea & applied for EI. I did'nt hear anything from service canada and CIC yet and no updates still on the processing. I sent my PR+OWP last October 1,2009, & received my OWP last April 1, 2010. I had my medical exam last April 12, 2010 since CIC sent me a medical instructions. (I think I am one of the last batch of applicants who undergone 2nd medical exam) My question is, would applying in EI will affect my PR Application?
