I came to Canada as a dependent along with my spouse ( he is on Closed work permit). I applied and got Open WP.
I recently got a job but my WP as well as visitor record is nearing expiry. My husband WP is also expiring soon.
His closed WP will be renewed by his company and they will only renew my visitor record (not open WP)
That leaves me with 2 options-
1 - Get the Visitor record renewed by my Spouse's company. This way, i will have an extended VR and a WP (valid till expiry). What will be my status in this case (Visitor or Worker??) and will I be able to continue with my job in this case.
Or
2 - Wait for my spouse's WP to be renewed and then apply for my Open WP. (If that gets rejected, I have to go back to India as I don't have an extended VR)
