I wanted to know if anyone with open work permit can take Microsoft, CISCO or CompTIA A+ certification? or he/she needs a study permit?

Hi,

It is my understanding that one needs a study permit for pursuing a study course longer than 6 months at a designated learning institute. In your case, since you're going for a certification, I imagine you'd attend some coaching classes for a week or simply buy books and do self study before taking the certification exam.

All of that said, to have peace of mind, I'd recommend that you write your visa office and get their written response.
