I am an international student and I just recently got married to my fiancee back home. My spouse would like to apply for an OWP. My question is, does he need to apply for a TRV first before he can apply for the OWP? If you have experience on this matter, I would really appreciate your help. Thanks!

No, your spouse need to apply for OWP only and if he/she requires a TRV, the VO will issue it himself.
