My husband and I both currently reside in Canada, myself with full PR and him on an open work permit based on spousal sponsorship application. My husband has since then been denied spousal sponsorship on our original sponsorship application submitted in 2016, and his open work permit expiring in January 2019. As we applied for sponsorship inland, we are unable to appeal and have to resubmit our application. By us doing so, can we extend his work permit based on the new application to be submitted?
