Open work permit extension

Hi Friends,

I applied for my LMO and waiting for that and apply for the AINP too waiting for that one also.I have a open work permit and will going to expire in Dec 2013 and i am going to India in Nov 2013.So is there any way i can extend my work permit without LMO or AINP approval?

My employer will ready to give me a job letter if i want to extend my work permit if it helps.

You either need an approved LMO or AINP approval if you want to keep working.

Hi Dave,

I am in the same boat as you. My open WP runs out in Feb 2014 and I was told by my lawyer my employer has to post an LMO while I apply for renewal. I was hoping that a job letter would suffice.
