Hello Friends

Didn't able to find much information for my scenario. I am in open work permit in BC as a spouse of an international student and want to apply for PR instead of waiting for my wife's MBA to complete and apply for PGWP and then apply for PR. The reason why I want to apply early -

1) I am aiming to BC Tech Pilot program
2) I have 15 years of experience in IT and I got a permanent job in IT in BC
3) Though my wife's study permit is valid till Sept 2019 but I got my Open work permit till Jan 2019 because of my wife's passport is expiring on Jan 2019. (We got her passport renewed recently)

The other factor that would affect is - I am 40 years old at present, I have scored overall band 7 in IELTS, WES validated my education as 3years post secondary degree, my wife is 34 years old and scored 7 band in IELTS, 4 years engineering degree and pursuing MBA in Canada.

At present I have multiple job offer in IT, permanent position with offer from 65K to 80K and contract jobs offer ranging from 95K to 150K. The offer I am going to accept completely depends on if I would opt for EEBC or not. I understand if I opt for EEBC, I need a permanent job.

I seek your expertise advise and insight here to make proper decision. Thanking in advance and appreciate all suggestions and advice.

What are you actually wanting to know? If you qualify, you can apply for PR whenever you want.

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response. sorry about it if my query is not quite clear. What would be best option for me?
1) To apply for and OWP extension; wait for my wife's MBA to complete and apply PR after that. By then I should have 1 years of Canadian work experience.
2) Apply for EEBC after couples of months in my job in BC
3) What if my EEBC take time and by then my OWP gets expire
4) Can I apply EEBC and OWP extension in parallel? is that going to impact negatively to OWP extension?

It doesn't need to be either/or. PR apps are completely separate from OWP apps.

Hi There,

Now I understood, so I can apply the OWP extension and PR in parallel. Thank you very much!
Though I am still looking for information and as of now I see that PNP requires a job offer with indefinite period / permanent job.

Just want to double confirm - my contract job is going to pay me twice of my permanent job and my role is a bigger role (IT Architect / Manager). My only query - in my case, is the contract job by any chance going to help me for PNP ? or rather should I go for the permanent position?

No idea. You will need to research PNP yourself.
