Open Work Permit at Port of Entry

Hello, I am an American citizen and I will be in Vancouver for three months. My husband has a category B skilled worker visa, and as his spouse I qualify for an open work permit. My question is, if I apply at the port of entry for my work permit, will I receive it right then and there, assuming I have provided all the right documents?

To be fair I wasn’t asking if it would work in today’s climate. It was asking if it was successful when they tried

The point being made though is that user hasnt been seen here since 2017 so whilst your question was valid the odds of that individual who only ever posted that single question in 2017 of answering are small. Never know I guess they might
