Open Work Permit at Port of Entry

Hi All,

My spouse will land in Canada with Visitor Visa (Multiple Entry). Can she get Open Work Permit at the PORT OF ENTRY?

If yes, is there any specific documents she should carry with her?

It depends on your immigration status. If you are a permanent resident or possess a temporary resident visa, your spouse can work in Canada.

Your spouse or common-law partner can apply for a work permit from inside Canada if they have a temporary resident permit that is valid for six months or more.

thank you for information. I am holding ICT-Work Permit. My spouse is holding visitor visa with multiple entry which is valid for more than 6 months.
Can she get the Open Work Permit at Port of Entry or she has to apply only inside Canada? Thank you so much for your help!!!
