hi , i would like to know is it possible to change the closed work permit into open after pnp approval , eventhough the current work permit only expires in 1 year

Hi,
To be eligible for a bridging open work permit, you must:
1. Currently be in Canada
2. Have valid status on a work permit that is due to expire within 4 months
3. Have received confirmation from CIC that your permanent resident application is eligible under one of the four economic classes (FSWP, CEC, PNP and FSTP), and
So you need to wait for another 8 months to apply for BOWP and received a file number from CIC for your PR application.
