Hello guys, does anyone have experiance with such situation or know the answers of below question? We would appreciate the help and suggestions.

I hold canada TRV (Valid until 2030) and an open work permit under H1B program which is valid until 2026 and a company sponsored closed work permit approval which is valid until 2028. I am planning to move to Canada by end of this year.

My Questions are as follows:

1. Is my open work permit still valid and I can switch the jobs and work for another employer.
2. I haven’t got the closed work permit yet as I haven’t crossed the border after getting the approval, would officer grant me the closed work permit ? And if they do that, would they revoke my open work permit? What should I do at the border if they give me a choice of having one of the 2 permits?
3. If I get both work permits, would I be able to extend my open work permit next year?

1. Yes, still valid.
2. Don't know.
3. Program is closed to new applications and we don't know if it will reopen. I would make the assumption that the open work permit cannot be extended.
