Hi,

I have a question and just wondering if any one knows and could help me out.

I am an international student in Manitoba, I have a valid study permit and sin number. Am I allowed to open a business while studying (by partnership with one of my friend who is Canadian citizen)?

Are there any paper works I need to know? I am thinking of opening an online store, what is the requirement for starting a business as an international student? Any advice and suggest? I don't want to be in trouble with the laws.

Thanks every one, I looking forward to hearing from you all!
Happy holidays.

There is NO restriction of opening an online business unless you are selling tangible goods in Canada. in that case you need a provincial license. as an international student, I am sure your SIN may starting with number 9. You can be a partner of an Canadian citizen for obtaining a business License. But it will not be a beneficial for you if you are thinking for a PR visa later. :P But yes you can do business in Canada as a partner of a Canadian citizen.
